Hey guys! The wait is officially over! Our online shop is now stocked with our Spring 2008 Delivery 1 goods. If you guys have any questions, please direct all questions and emails to: info@orisue.com and our friendly staff will stand by to assist you!
Oh and don't forget about our Spring 2008 Look Book! Its up as well!
The first of two Spring 2008 deliveries is now gracing the shelves of authorized Orisue retailers. This season, we wanted to focus on simplicity, but still push the envelope with color and by tweaking traditional cuts. Orisues Spring 2008 line, titled Pacific Division, pulls heavy influence from Mexico and Central America. It blends Southern Californian attitude with the flare of Central American culture. In our humble opinion, this is our best and most mature work to date. We hope you'll agree.
Click the Look Book link above to peep Spring 2008 (To see the full line, click the PACIFIC DIVISION BANNER above the denim photos).
Don't ask how or why this conversation was recorded cause I still don't understand it myself... But this is what happens when our salesman, Alain Montiel, THINKS you called him a douche bag. You a little stressed Alain? What a fucking nutcase!
Surprise! To start off the new year, we will be dropping our Spring 2008 collection this week! Our look book for Spring 2008 shall be up by tomorrow night, so please check back with us soon! What we are most excited for from this collection are our latest bottoms, including 7 new styles of denim which all will be readily available in our popular "Classic" fit, slightly tapered. However, the Stack denim will both be offered in our "Classic" and "Slouch" fit! For those who are not familiar with the "Slouch" fit, it is slim at the leg with a regular rise; it is currently very popular in Asia and Europe.
Each denim is embellished with our very own custom shank buttons and rivets. In addition, all denim will include our signature pocket bags. We wanted to go the extra miles when it comes to embellishments, so that every pair is detailed to perfection. All bottoms should be in stores within a few weeks, so look out for them.
Frankly, we are over the whole Magic Re-Cap bullshit, and I don't really feel like blogging the last two days of MAGIC. So if you want to see what went down go check someone else's blog. This is the only picture worth posting.
I remember like 4 months ago, we announced that we were going to post a Pedro Acevedo footy check every week. Well, here is the first one since then... 16 weeks later. I understand Pedro, that would require a lot of fucking work. Shit, that would be a lot of work for me too. Let's just stay on that 16 week program for now. By the way, is that the Italian flag on your griptape? I always thought you were Samoan.
Before we headed out to Las Vegas, our Japanese distributor stopped by to introduce to us their new staff that will be handling our accounts in Japan. See you guys in Las Vegas!

That wraps it up for Magic Trade Show: Day 1. We'll post more photos tomorrow! Checkkkkkkkk back later!
You guys got lucky this year... Michael gave you the heads up that over the next couple of days, he's going to be posting hundreds of photos of people you never cared to see, posing in awkward positions with other people they hardly know. I've been sucked into that paradox a few times in my day, and let me tell you, there is no greater shame than seeing yourself hugged up on some dude from the clothing industry on some streetwear blog. Aside from that though, Magic is a great place for ugly people to get laid outside of there trip to Adolita's during ASR weekend. Yadadamean?
On the real though, Magic is all about business. I mean, it isn't really at all, but the people at the top of the ladder would most certainly like you to think along those lines. Check out this list of no no's Allen sent out just days ago in lieu of this week's events...
1. drinking or smoking (alcohol)
2. horseplay or raucous behavior
3. Fighting
4. Homosexual humor
5. Loitering in or around the booth
6. Sleeping in the booth
7. Eating (to be confined to eating area)
8. Use of drugs
9. Arriving late without notification
10. Arriving for work inebriated (drunk) or under the influence
11. Sexual Harrassment or sexual content (pornography)
12. Conversations about drugs, sex, or explicit content
The funniest thing about this list is that I am absolutely positive Allen himself won't make it 15 minutes before he's broken every god damn one of his own commandments. Atleast number 4 is a relief... He was just joking Lunch, he was just joking.
Now, back to what this blog and Magic have absolutely nothing to do with... Ricky Fox!
So now that everyone has been put on the tip, or whatever, I wanted to share with you bloggoid's some good ol' fashion home movies. No not Kim Kardashian and Ray J. I'm talking skate video's. The good people at shredlove.com (and by people i mean Don) are putting out a full length video titled 'TA-HA.' Filmed and edited by Don Luong, this video features parts from some local hero's such as Julian Davidson (Billabong, Circa, Real) , Kevin Romar (Mada, eS, Chocolate), Orisue's very own Alec Jamir (Orisue, Nike), and more. Check the promo! COMING SOON. Shout out to Ryan Moore on the title's.
Allen said "Can we get some skate on the site, it's looking a little too hiphop." I agree Allen, how many youtube music videos can the fans of Orisue Clothing really swallow? And while I'm on the subject of youtube, what up with the headline for the Chocolate Rain Remix blog? What the hell does "Put You On The Tip" mean? I researched it, studied it, broke it down, took it to the streets, beta tested it with the kids, noone understands it. Is Orisue really on that next shit? Or is Michael confusing the lyrics of several different rap songs into one messy and meaningless catch phrase? Can someone put me on the tip here?
Anyways, as for the skateboarding blog that I am consciously concocting, allow me to introduce you to our homie Vitor. No, there is not supposed to be a C in there, it is Vitor, pronounced Vee-Tor. I guess it's a Brazilian name, which would make sense, as he is a Brazilian. I call him Beektor because it rolls off the tongue better and it's funner to say. Go ahead and say it... Beeeeek-tooooooor. Fun huh? Beektor is a very polite Brazilian, as I have noticed most Brazilians are. Whenever he leaves me a message on my voicemail, he starts off by asking how I am doing. I appreciate that. Not many people care how I'm doing, but I believe that Beektor does. Brazil got put on the polite tip. That's hiphop.
Enjoy this footage of Beektor and his many Brazilian friends riding their skateboards with outlandish ability...
Oh and real quick... Does David Allen even still intern at Orisue? Dude got a little too drunk and revealed that he has some serious fucking problems. You need proof? Check THIS SHIT! What!?!?!?!
Check up and coming rapper Ali Vegas in his brand new interview with Studio UGO. He is rockin' our Genius Cardigan from fall. Speaking of cardigans, SPRING IS ALMOST HERE! Ali grew up in South Jamaica, Queen's with some of the greatest. Signed to Lamar Odom's label Rich Soil Ent. Keep an eye out for his Generation Gap 2: The Prequel, which will feature Nas, AZ, and some producing by DJ Premier, and Cool and Dre.
Our first ever warehouse sale went down Saturday. We definitely need to thank all the people that came down to the sale (especially those that camped out). And we don't want to forget those that helped promote the event. You know who you are!
To conclude it all, here are some pictures...
DJ Zeb got the sale started off right, while Wally held down the line.
