We recently had the chance to get with our friend, Omen out of Canada to check out what he's been up to. If you don't know about him, check out his site at OMEN514.com.
A little about him (straight from the site)
The majority of the art world’s curators and collectors continue to view graffiti as a form of vandalism and “lower art”. This is where Omen wants to set things straight. Since the late 90’s, Omen has been redefining the boundaries of graffiti with his singular style of painting, both on and off the streets. Using spray cans as his primary medium, he has been leading the aerosol movement towards a truce with the established art world. No other medium has met with such resistance in its quest to be accepted as a valid form of expression. At no other time in history has there been a movement rallying around a medium. Acrylics, tempura, oil paints – none of these have brought artists together like aerosol. “Aerosol is a medium like any other; valid and there as a vehicle to express oneself, whether that be through realism, expressionism, cubism, or whatever the artist chooses,” he says. “As long as aerosol and graffiti are used to pigeon-hole and keep legitimate artists down, I will keep blowing your mind."
He'll be hosting an opening reception TODAY for his show titled, "SO LOW" held at the Yves Laroche art gallery in Montreal, Quebec, EHHH. The gallery will be showing his work between October 29, 2008 through November 9, 2008. Make sure you stop by and show some love.
Something I thought I'd share with all you "O" followers out there. Wexx and I went to The Source Magazine office today and look what we found! (See below)
Pictured second to right you'll find the model wearing the Byron Jacket (Burgundy Leather Jacket) from Holiday Delivery 1 and the Tobias Jean from Holiday Delivery 2. As you've probably heard, Holiday 1 is rumored to be dropping in the online store tomorrow so you better get there quick and get that Byron! (Close up after the jump!)
For those who ordered over this past weekend... We have been busy with moving the HUB of our Online Shop, therefore... The shipping will be delayed a few days. Products will begin shipping normal on Friday.
And this will not interfere with Holiday 1 which again im hearing will be dropping soon online? Hmmm..
Power 106's DJ Sourmilk, Mandeeeez, Just N Credible, and Deelan, otherwise known as the Los Angeles Leakers, came through to speak about a forthcoming project we will be doing with them. Well like most places, coffee is obviously quite popular over here in NY. We had a day long argument with Alain, that Dunkin Donuts did not exist on the west coast. He eventually won the battle, because there are in fact 3 shops out there on the left. I think Wexx put it the best. "That doesn't count when theres one on every block in NY."
We can never get enough French Vanilla Iced Coffees from Dunkin F****N Donuts!
As you saw below, we (Wexx & I) scooped up Allen & Alain from JFK airport this afternoon and got right down to business. See first off, Allan has never been out here, so we're going to do as much as we can in the next 4 days. We shot right out to see some new stores. Below might be two new accounts for us, but in no way are they new at all! Check it out! The O has landed in New York.
Special Sauce opened 15 years ago, and they're one of the biggest stores out on Long Island, they've got two doors right now, (skate shop & snow shop) and a brand new door opening soon. Allen, Alain, Wexx, Big Matt & I had a good time here. Some crazy Graf out here. More pics will be coming so stay tuned!
Shout out to Pete!
Are you from the East or the West? It doesn't really matter at this point, you can get O anywhere. 10 years in the game, and they've just opened a new Loc. They've got some sick artwork in here, I'll post some of them later. The "O" is coming soon! Jesse what up! Let's Go Mets!
Last month, I went to Hong Kong with the design team, to work on production and future developments. This month, it's off to NY with Alain Montiel, to visit some old faces and new.
Here's Alain, ugly as ever.
We're flying with Delta Airlines and this plane is the oldest piece of SH*T I have ever been on. Look at this the wings,... LOST here I come, but I guess that would require an ocean...
Meet Lexx and Wexx, Orisue East Coast Sales/Marketing. I don't know why they have matching names, but if you're asking if that's their real name, no it's not. Sticker on the DURANGO!

The beautiful, Chelsea from Karmaloop TV just blessed us with Internet FAME by including us in their daily program called "The Daily Loop." Check out the awesome video that introduces some of our key pieces this upcoming Holiday 08 season. I have to admit, it was a wonderful way to end the year. Check out the video here:
Oh yeah, Rage Foxx is officially our favorite looking viking from Karmaloop, next to Holland their buyer. If you have a red beard, please send your applications over to them immediately.
Travis drove his friend Aaron's beast of a Smartcar to work today. Instead of working for a good hour (Allen and Mike aren't here today) the entire staff was outside staring and wondering how many of us could fit inside. Aaron will be happy to hear that we did not all try to fit inside his car like a bunch of clown and chose to admire from a distance. I'm officially giving Aaron recognition for having the first black on black smart car I've seen to date.
U-N-I is straight killin it right now. They just dropped a track on Mick Boogie's "The Honor Roll" Hip Hop Honors mixtape, as well as a remix of Beautiful Day with insane MC's, AND they will be premiering the video for Soul Hop tomorrow. Check it out!
